Seven Adventures

Every parent means to write it down. What the child said at breakfast, the word they invented, the reason they cried on Tuesday. Then there is dinner, laundry, bed, and the day goes unrecorded. Seven Adventures is for the parents who never manage it — not for the ones who already keep a journal.

How it works

You talk into your phone for thirty seconds. In the car, in the hallway, or at night when the house is finally quiet. The app transcribes it, removes your "ähm", and leaves every word your child said exactly as it was said. Nothing is rearranged and nothing is invented.

If you cannot speak, type a sentence or drop in a photo. It counts the same.

Filed by age, not by date

This is the part that matters. Every moment is stored under how old the child was on that day — 4 years 2 months — rather than under a date. Ten years later, "March 2026" tells you nothing and "4 years 2 months" tells you everything.

After each recording it asks two questions: who was there, and what it was like. That is the whole of the filing system, and it is why you can later tap three years, or funny, or grandma, and find everything that belongs together.

Written to the child, not about them

Not "Emma spoke to the neighbour's dog today" but "You explained to the neighbour's dog that he is not a child." One word of difference, and it is a different text.

It sounds like a small thing until you say it out loud for the first time. Then you are suddenly talking to someone who is twenty and reading this now. The tone changes by itself.

Mistakes stay in. Gegeht does not become gegangen. A child never heard "gegeht" from anyone — they built the form themselves out of a rule they worked out on their own. Those sentences can be dated to within two months, and they never come back.

Two parents, one timeline

You send an invitation, the other parent records into the same book, and it lands in the same timeline under their name — the name your child uses for them. Nothing is split in half. The Saturday you were not there is not a gap.

The rest

Birth to about two and a half, you are the only witness and you narrate. From two and a half the child takes over and you are just writing it down.
